At one with yourself and the other
You may experience happiness when your eyes meet someone else’s and silently you sense how your feelings meet as well. It makes no difference whether you have known the person for a long time or whether it is a stranger whose name you do not know, whether you are meeting in a familiar safe place or somewhere unknown. Words, strange or familiar, safe or hostile no longer play a part. Two people meeting create their own reality. A reality which afterwards you can ponder and muse on with
pleasure.
This happiness can only be experienced in freedom. It does not work under the pressure of compulsion. When you compel happiness by forcefully going through the motions, you cheat both yourself and others. These are meetings you rather do not look back on unless you boast, either silently or publicly, about what you have managed to bring about.
Happiness stands by itself, but often arrives hand in hand with something else, something you are
happy about or even something that hurts. When you share this with someone in freedom your
happiness grows and your pain disappears.
Happiness occurs between people but also when you see your own reflection or when you proclaim yourself in art or in nature. Then too, you will sense yourself heard and understood, you are cared for and no longer alone.
The biggest happiness occurs when you are happy with yourself. When you can accept yourself as you are now, without judgement, even when things may have gone awry once again. You know that you are merciful and kind, that you have good intentions even when you behave differently. You may have the tendency to be unkind, but if you return to your natural kindness you will be able to forgive both yourself and others and you will experience peace and happiness.
Happiness is here now, it is everywhere. Reality is happiness, you are able to free yourself from the prison that is past and future, what once was and what is yet to come. Free yourself from judgement and repulsion. Be one with the rhythm of your breathing, arrive in the reality of the present.
Happiness and peace will come to you.
